Reflection
I’m sitting on a shady bench outside of Cherry Creek Mall in Denver. Most Wednesdays I have music students but summertime has given me this and next Wednesday off. At times I’ve worried about the financial ramifications of not working, but right now I’m happy to have nowhere to go.
I got to spend the morning with my lady. She teaches yoga so I went to her sunrise class at 6:15a to practice. Practicing always gives me time to reflect and puts my life in perspective. I’ve begun living like that off the mat as well.
I’m lucky that I get to do what I love, music, for a living though it’s a challenging path to pursue. The work isn’t always solid, the money isn’t always good, but the passion remains strong in my heart. I’ve always subconsciously followed my heart, but yoga has taught me to follow it as if my heart were my only set of eyes. It’s serving me well. My life is full of love, passion, compassion, joy and gratitude. And for that I feel like the luckiest woman in the world.
This life is a miracle. :)
